KAMPALA. Onduparaka Football Club has this evening signed a memorandum of Understanding with Everton and other stakeholders to support refugees in West Nile.

Others are Arua regional Rferral Hospital, Uganda Red Cross Society and Uganda UK Health alliance among others.

The memorandum of understanding was signed this evening at the Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala, it will cover a period of five years.

Onduparaka CEO Mr Benjamin Ejidra signed the agreement on behalf of the Club.

Everton FC is an English premiership team and it hosts Everton in the Community which uses sport to enhance the wellbeing of local and the vulnerable global community.

West Nile region is currently home to about one million South Sudanese and moderate Congolese refugees hosted in various refugee settlements in the region.

The aim of the partnership is to make a contribution towards the well-being of refugees and hosting communities in West Nile region.

Onduparaka Football Club is currently in its second season in Uganda’s elite footballing club but its massive popularity among its fans has made it attract sponsors.
